Ted Miguel delivered the keynote lecture at the Southern California Conference in Applied Microeconomics in April 2024. His talk, titled Can Cash Transfers Save Lives? Evidence from a Large-Scale Experiment in Kenya, highlighted results on the reduction of child mortality through an unconditional cash transfer program in Kenya.
