Ted ran his first half marathon on November 17, 2013 (the Big Sur Half-marathon in Monterey, CA) in time 1:54:47. He ran the November 16, 2014 Big Sur Half-marathon in time 1:47:04, and the November 8, 2015 Big Sur Half-marathon in 1:43:02. He ran the October 9, 2016 Healdsburg Half-marathon in Healdsburg, CA in time 1:44:04, the December 17, 2017 Quarry Lakes ZombieRunner trail Half-marathon in Fremont, CA in time 1:43:53, the August 26, 2018 Santa Rosa Half-marathon (in Santa Rosa, CA) in 1:40:52, and the December 15, 2019 Quarry Lakes ZombieRunner trail Half-marathon in 1:41:41. Ted ran his only marathon to date, the March 24, 2019 Oakland Marathon, in a time of 3:56:36. He has also run several 5K and 10K races, with a PR 5K time of 20:57. His race plans for 2020 were altered due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but he ran a self-timed half-marathon around Lake Merritt on December 6, 2020 in 1:43:22. Ted ran a 1:42:53 at the San Jose Rock ‘n’ Roll half-marathon on October 3, 2021, and a PR time of 1:38:16 at the April 2, 2022 inaugural Fiercelifit half-marathon in Fremont.
